Job description

We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our cloud development team and work alongside our lead backend developer. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our cloud-based RFID management platform, ensuring scalable and reliable backend services for our global customer base. This role offers the opportunity to learn and contribute to a critical system while helping to reduce single points of failure.

Main tasks

  • Develop and maintain backend services for our cloud platform
  • Collaborate with the Lead Backend Engineer to learn existing system architecture and best practices
  • Implement new backend features and API endpoints as required
  • Optimize database queries and improve system performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in production environments

     

  • Participate in system design discussions and architecture decisions

     

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for backend systems

     

  • Support integration with RFID hardware and third-party services

We expect

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

     

  • 6+ years of proven Java applications developments

     

  • Strong proficiency in Java backend programming

     

  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization

     

  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development

     

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization

     

  • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems

     

  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development practices

     

  • Knowledge of RFID technology or IoT systems is a plus

     

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively

     

  • Fluent in English

     

  • You are a resident of the EU or are in possession of an EU working permit
